But things have not always been this great for me...
Reading my milestones, it's easy for you to think that I've always had it together and that I don't know what disappointment, pain and suffering are like. That's understandable.

I had also forgotten many of my struggles until sometime in January 2019. I was in Dubai. 

I had had an intense 2018- writing books, creating courses, building a ministry and I couldn't even afford to take out a day from my busy schedule to rest so I "forced" myself to travel in January so I wouldn't carryover any of the compounding stress into 2019.

I went off to one of my favourite vacation cities- Dubai, to catch my breath and restrategize for the new year.
As I was enjoying this particular breakfast...
I took my phone and got on Instagram and as I swiped, 
I noticed that so many people were taking jumping on this challenge they called the
"10yearchallenge" 

Maybe you remember seeing it too.

The whole idea was that people were posting pictures of themselves from 10 years back. It was really catching on and as you can imagine it was a lot of fun seeing pictures from the past. For many people, it was a reminder of how far they had come- the progress they had made, the milestones they had recorded. For many people it was also about the changes in their body and the evolution of fashion. Either way, there was a buzz!

That got me thinking. 
I started having waves of thoughts and flashes of my journey so far.

See, I'm more often than not, on the move, on the go, on to the next thing. So I had not really taking time to reflect on how far I had come. So, for the first time in 10 years, I consciously took out time to identify and celebrate some of my milestones.

I decided to put a spin on the 10 year challenge and I came up with this:

It occurred to me that I had made some significant progress.

I had learned a lot lessons and applied them too.

the 6 major things that changed my life 
and how they can change yours too.
Remember that I failed some of my courses in the University of Lagos, so those I got into school with graduated before me. It was a sad and painful experience for me. 

First, I had NEVER failed before. In fact, I went to secondary school on Government scholarship based on my excellent performance all through primary school. I attended Suleja Academy- School for the Gifted and Talented. I was fully sponsored by the Government based on my grades so you can imagine the shock and disappointment I had to put up with. It was embarrassing.

Secondly, Chemical Engineering was not my preferred course of study and I had wanted to study Architecture but my parents advised otherwise. from the goodness of their hearts and their desire to secure a better future for their son, they prevailed on me to study Chemical Engineering and it ended up being a struggle for me.

But I had to take responsibility for my failure. How did I do that? I will tell you more but let me tell you this for now...

SO, WHY EXACTLY DID I FAIL?

Was I stupid?
Was I unintelligent?
Was I troubled by "village people"? (That's local expression for spiritual opposition)
Was I cursed.

THE ANSWER TO ALL OF THE ABOVE IS A BIG "NO!"

I didn't fail because of all those external factors. I failed because there was a MISMATCH between my internal configuration and disposition and the external demands of that academic environment.

That may sound like a mouthful but read it again: a MISMATCH of the combination of my gifts, talents and ATTITUDE and the requirements for success in that space.

After counselling hundreds of individuals and training thousands in person and via technology, I can tell you that most people don't fail because they are stupid, unintelligent or cursed. Most people don't fail because they want to fail. Most people fail because there's a mismatch:

Between their natural gifts and the skills required in a certain environment.
Between their attitude and the commitment required in a given assignment.
Between their experience and the expectations of those they're working with and for.

Notice that: mismatch. Combination.
Some BIG LIES many motivational speakers, 
trainers and even spiritual leaders tell about
success and being successful...
You might be reading this in the United States of America, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates or some other country but I live in Nigeria and this is one thing I can tell you about Nigeria: there are many religious people. There are also many aspirational people (actually, more of desperate people): people who want to get ahead, "make it" and prosper no matter what it takes.

So, there are many people who gravitate towards prophets and prophecies, and proponents of a better future. Many people are tired of the extreme poverty and the broken promises of politicians and leaders.
Unfortunately, many of the teachings about prosperity and a great life out there are not that helpful. They often promise wealth without work, or an unhealthy obsession with material acquisition.

You cannot imagine the number of people who have lost their hard-earned cash to scammers, false prophets and smooth-talking speakers who do not practice what they are teaching.

Now, I know that there are many authentic people out there. So, I'm not saying you should go around suspecting everybody BUT you cannot afford to be gullible. Check people out and find out more about their backstory. How did they get where they are now? What principles did they apply? 

That said, some authentic speakers also mislead people unwittingly- by mistake. They say things like:

"If you get this one thing right, you will be successful!"

WHAT?! ONE THING?

That's NOT TRUE at all.
Being successful is NOT about any one thing.
It's about a combination of things! 
Does this look familiar?
Take another look at it? 

It's a safe. A safe that holds treasure but it's been safely secured by a CODE- A combination lock.

The only person that can open it is someone who knows THE CODE.

The safe will not respond to sentiments, aggression, wishful thinking, shouting, sweating, panting or physical force.
It responds only to the combination lock.
This reminds me of life...
Life is like a GIANT Treasure chest.

It is filled with precious treasures- wealth, riches, opportunities, fulfilment, resources but sadly, most people are never able to access these treasures no matter how hard they try.

The only person that can open it is someone who knows the right combination to unlock.

The safe will not respond to sentiments, aggression, wishful thinking, shouting, sweating, panting or physical force.
It responds only to the combination lock.

Success is a mystery to many because they do not know THE CODE.

Life doesn't respect your age. Your family members and friends may respect you for your age but life doesn't respect you for your age. That's why there are many old people who are still struggling.

Working harder or for longer is NOT the answer
It's also not about working harder. Sadly, I've personally met so many elderly people who have a lot of regrets and wish they could reverse the hands of time. It's heartbreaking, I tell you.

It's not always because they were lazy or slow. It's possible to be hardworking and still struggle.

Have you seen how hard bricklayers, stonecutters and streetsweepers work? They labour. In some cases, they toil, yet they're not the best paid.

Many people work from 9-5, acquire multiple degrees to increase their chances YET they do NOT get ahead.

It's great to work hard but if you don't know THE CODE, you won't access the safe.

Sadly, our Schools and Universities 
do NOT give us the code.
There are many people who succeed in school YET fail in life and there are many people who FAIL in school, YET go on to SUCCEED MASSIVELY in life.

There's a huge gap in our educational system. It is largely about theories than the practical things you actually need for life. At school...

We study economics but we seldom acquire financial intelligence.
We acquire MBAs(Masters in Business Administration) but we seldom discover how to use
MBAs (Method-Based Actions to get MBAs (Mega Bank Accounts).

More so, in school, we explore the science of achievement but we seldom experience the spirit of fulfilment.

At school, we learn how to score high marks but we don’t learn how to give back to society or build a legacy through sacrificial contributions to the lives of those we may never meet in person.

It is possible to work hard and still end up poor and sad- if you work hard on the wrong things, at the wrong time or for the wrong reason. It is possible to be consistent, yet be consistently wrong. It is possible to go to school and still be ignorant about what really leads to a productive, prosperous and fulfilled life.

If someone could show you the combination codes  
to unlock the treasures of wealth, opportunities 
and fulfilment, how much would you pay?
Everyday, you work hard to crack this code. You read, pray and seek out new opportunities 
but can you confidently claim that you've cracked the code?

Are you currently enjoying cycles of success without undue stress?

Are you completely satisfied with the results you are generating so far?

Do you genuinely believe that you have reached the highest attainable height in life?

I DON'T THINK SO TOO.

The good news is that I have travelled this road for over 10 years now. I know what it means to fail, struggle, 
and thankfully, I have discovered the PROVEN PATHWAY to achieve great results over and over. 
So, let me continue my story...
I studied Chemical Engineering and I got my BSc...

but after the struggles I faced, I realized that my natural gifts and talents were not the best suited for that field of work.

So, what next???

I knew I didn't want to become a Chemical engineer or work on an oil rig for the rest of my life, but that was not enough. I had to become clear about what exactly I wanted.

One mistake many people make is that they know what they don't want but they're not clear about what they want.

I started studying. Harder than ever. I wasn't studying to pass in school. I was studying to excel in life. I wasn't studying so I could get a job. I was studying so I could create a system that would create jobs for hundreds, thousands and one day, millions.

I remembered that I had attended a seminar in 2006 where I learned how to make money online, so I was doing that and I was earning a few thousands. It soon grew to tens of thousands. At the same time, I was getting invited to speak at events and I was getting paid N10,000, N20,000... THEN N50, 000. It kept increasing!

After studying online everyday for 6-8 hours, applying what I learned, making my own mistakes and then getting better over time, I began to generate amazing results.

I remember the first time I was paid $1,000 to facilitate a team-bonding session by a Telecommunications company in 2010, I was SUPER-EXCITED. It was like a dream. It was much more than that- IT WAS A DREAM COME TRUE!

Then, I started a web-hosting business with a friend and we were making hundreds of thousands of naira within the first three months.

I had acquired so many skills- even without knowing it.

That's when I was able to start articulating the key things I was doing that was generating results.

You know there are some people who are generating powerful results but they can't tell you what exactly they're doing. Sometimes, it's because they are fraudulent. 

Some people are honest and upright but they have not been able to identify the core pillars that have kept them ahead of the game. Some people know exactly what they're doing to succeed but they just don't have time to teach it. Some people have the time but they don't know how to teach. Some people know how to teach but they don't want other to know their secrets.

Well, I know exactly what I've been doing right. I know how to teach and I want you to know exactly what you can do to get it right too.

We've come a long way since 2011
DREAM Academy was born out of my passion to help people learn by desire what I had learned by desperation. See, I had studied a course in the University that I had no passion whatsoever for and it was a struggle. After failing certain courses and graduating years after I should have, I had resolved not to stay stuck. I decided to explore my gifts and abilities and I spent no less that 6 hours every day studying online.
